![]() I saw a video on base defense that said the raiders tend to avoid traps if they trip over them raid after raid in the same spot. Difficulty on that map is randy extreme with addition raids scheduled every 7 days, toxic fallout disabled because I think it's boring.Originally posted by Ensign:There is alot of rumor on game mechanics. There are definitely differences, for example, I'm super picky with my pawns but invest very heavily into each of them from clothes to bionics to weapons. It's kind of hard to explain a play style so I highly suggest you check out the two twitch channels I linked if you want to watch for yourself. Seiges are shot with mortars until they attack me. Sappers are dealt with like this (from a previous comment). If there's a ship part I mortar it down to 49% and the mechs come to me. Raids and manhunters get shot and often meleed in the kill box (brawlers are fun). Usually the trap part off the kill box starts small and I expand it as raids get harder to deal with. Those sarcophagi all contain animals who died protecting the colony. Early game I tame animals to fight while I prepare walls and a kill box (example of a late game colony). I usually play very farming and crafting heavy where I build a base around a large area of farmland, protect it, and make it very nice to live in (mental breaks almost never happen unless I have a pyro or a chemical interest/fascination). I take a lot of inspiration from spartyon7 and disnof so if you check out some of their past broadcasts you should be able to get a good idea of how combat works. Volatile Hell Tier: reserved for the worst trait in the game Prosthophile Tier 5: situational, but generally hinderance Masochist Tier 3: situational, but generally favourableīeautiful (proposal harass) Tier 4: situational Green Thumb Tier 2: less powerful, still no downsides Not sure if there are more, haven't updated myself, also means I don't know what they do! God Tier: playing on easy modeĬannibal Tier 1: powerful, with no down-sides I included the new traits from B18: Quick Learner, Nimble(?), and Super Immune(?). tier 3 above some in tier 4 (psychopath!) - perhaps I will merge the tiers together to get an absolute ranking later. I realise some would put some traits in e.g. These I then divided into 2 (or 3 for situational), and tried to rank within the groups. Specifically, I grouped traits into 3 groups: only advantageous, situational and only disadvantageous. I didn't spend that long, and it is likely subjective, so I thought I would see what the community thought! To start thinking about this, I have started a tier list based on my opinions. I assume this builds upon pawn value when selling prisoners into slavery? In any case, it would be great to factor these values into the pawn value imo, as traits are as/more important than skill level with regards to the worth of a pawn. I noticed that traits do not affect the point value of a pawn in Prepare Carefully (at least last time I used it). r/RimWorldStreams - For all of your videos and streams needs r/RimWorldTales - /u/srgrafo's Rimworld Comic Series r/RimworldSwap - Swap saves with other players r/ShitRimworldSays - /r/nocontext posts about /r/RimWorld r/RimworldArt - Posts about Rimworld Artwork (not fanart!) r/Rimreddit - Colonists playing only on a single planet r/RimWorldPorn - High Quality Images of Rimworld Colonies No discussing pirated versions of the game.
